這幾個星期，因為幾次比賽都有去拍照，台東226及51.5鐵人三項賽，里港馬拉松及上星期剛結束的IRONMAN TAIWAN 70.3，照片上傳到Facebook後，照片裡的人都來標籤(Tag)，有些我認識，大部份則不認識，問我為甚麼要拍這些照片，我想是我參加過比賽，懂的比賽人的心情，大部份人都希望在賽後能有張到自己在場上揮灑熱情的照片。
很多人把我加做Facebook的朋友，有些人會留言，會寫Mail來道謝，然後這個很久以前就開始的故事，在這時後又加入了新的元素。
The past few weeks, We went to some race to take photo, Taitung 226 ironman and 51.5 trialthon game, Ligang Township Marathon and Ironman Taiwan 70.3 half-ironman at kenting last week. When I post the photo on fecebook and picasa web album, lots of people that photoed, come to tag their name, some of them I knew, but most not. People ask me why I take those photo, I thought because that I was part of them before, and I knew most of them want to have a photo that shows his/her endurance and enthusiasm.
Many people add me to their Facebook friends, and some leave message on facebook or Email to appreciate. Then, the story began a long time ago, have new element add.
2007年6月台灣獼猴車隊第一次到武嶺旅行時，在昆陽碰到大雨，氣溫驟降，我和小雅倆個在昆陽躲雨避風，這時從武嶺方向這個人自己一個人(Mark Roche)滑了下來也到了昆陽停車場，印象中那時他冷的緊，我們泡了杯熱咖啡給他，他用顫抖的手接住，幾乎沒辦法抓住杯子。咖啡喝完後人就好多了，可以繼續他接下來的旅程。
接下來的日子中，我們常常在比賽場上看到他，愛河三鐵，高雄馬拉松等等，我們都叫他武嶺大叔，2012年 IRONMAN TAIWAN 70.3，他也有出賽，我也拍到了幾張他的照片。
Year 2007 June, It's the first that Formosa Rocky Monkey Cycling Team(FRM) ride bicycle and travel from Puli to Hualian through Central Cross Island Highway, There was big rain at that time, and we sheltered at Kunyang. He(Mark Roche) come along from Wuling, I remembered that he was cold, we shared one hot coffee to him, but he was shaking violently and hard to hold the cup. after that coffee, I thought he felt better, and could continue his trip.
After that, we saw him a lot at the race occasions, like Kaohsiung Love River trialthon game, Kaohsiung Maralthon etc., we call him "Wuling Man", 2012 IRONMAN TAIWAN 70.3 he was there as a contestant and I have took some photo of him.
這兩天他在Facebook上寫Mail來為照片道謝及期待我們會在下一場賽事中再見面，我忍不住告訴他武嶺這段的有趣的故事，我們已經在過去見過了，很有趣的故事吧!!下面是他寫的，當然是用英文。

Interesting Cycling Story:
5 years ago, 2007, I was doing a 3-day solo tour from Hualien to Tainan on the Central Cross Island Highway. On the second day just a few kms. from the summit at Wu Ling, at 3,275m it started to rain and then the wind picked up. I was on the verge of riding back down to Hualien and calling it a day, but decided to push on. At the top I was freezing and on the verge of hypothermia. A young Taiwanese couple offered me some hot coffee, but it was difficult to hold the cup, my hands were shaking so violently. Anyway, the coffee helped, I got some warm gear on and headed down to Puli, in the rain all the way.
OK, so far so good.
Now to the present. At last weeks Kenting Ironman a young Taiwanese guy took lots of good photos of us in the race, all have been posted on fb. I wrote to him the other day, his name is Fenton Liou, to thank him for all the great photos and told him we'll meet up some time or at another race. He replied and said,
" we've already met - I'm the guy who gave you the coffee in 2007.After that we call you the "Wuling Man" and we see you at lots of races".
So there it is, I thought it was worth sharing and you have yet another reason to enjoy cycling in Taiwan.
這是個有趣的單車故事
5年前(2007)，我自己一個人正在進行個為期3天的單車旅行，從花蓮出發經過中橫，目的地是台南。在第二天剛開始騎沒幾公里，在3,275m高的武嶺山頂，刮起大風又下起雨來，本來打算到此為止回花蓮去，但最後決定繼續。在山頂時我已經凍壞了且在失溫的邊緣，這時有一對年輕的台灣男女朋友給了他一些熱咖啡，但那時我的手劇烈顫抖著，很難去把杯子拿好。無論如何，那杯熱咖啡起了作用，我的身體溫暖了些，我又加了些衣服後，在大雨中繼續往埔里前進。
時間回到現在，上星期在墾丁的IRONMAN 70.3賽事，一個年輕的台灣人拍了些我們在比賽的照片，都上傳在Facebook，我後來寫了封訊息給他，謝謝他拍了那些照片，且告訴他我們會在其它時間或其他比賽再見面。結果，他回覆我說：「我們已經見過了，我們2007年在武嶺上曾經分享過杯咖啡給你。在那之後，我們都稱你為”Wuling MAN”，且後來在很多比賽都有看到你。」
故事到此，我想這是個值得分享的故事，且這將給你另外個在台灣騎單車好理由。

他給了我一個網頁，叫Blue Skies Adventures，內容跟他們的工作有關，他說是比較像是導遊之類的吧!!有興趣可以參考一下，不過我看他花了很多時間都在比賽與騎車。
